Tidings from Rotterdam dated 28 April reported the successful launching at the yard of the widow E. Visser of the frigate ship Hendrik Jan of circa 750 tons built on account of L.F. de Bruijn. After the launching was the keel laid down of the ship Mosambique of a similar size for some citizens of Rotterdam including A. van Hoboken, master was to be T.J.J. Bouman, who was known for his part in saving the passengers and crew of the burnt Nijverheid. Bookkeepers were Hudig&Blokhuijzen. And the keels were laid down of the Beurs van Rotterdam of circa 560 tons on account of C.W. van Dam&Co. and the Jacatra on account of M.P. Ketelaar and H. van Rijckevorsel
