Unknown Russian auxiliary cruiser sighted off Sagres according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch Nieuwsblad dated 19 September 1904

The owners of the steamship Arundo underway from Rotterdam towards Arundo were informed by their master that he was hold by a Russian auxiliary cruiser between Sagres and Gibraltar Strait. The name of the Russian ship was unreadable and he was asked where he was going. When he told his destination he was free to continue his voyage.
