Romanian tug George arriving at Delfzijl, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 3 February 1916

An item dated Delfzijl the 1st reported the arrival of the newly built tug George captain J.C. Boer. She was built at the shipyard of J. Drewes&Co., Gideon, Winschoterdiep, Netherlands and destined for Romania. The same day was the trial on the Eems planned. She was fitted out with a 350 ihp triples team engine manufactured by Verschure&Co., Amsterdam, Netherlands.
