American whaler John Carver lying at Talcahuano in November 1873 according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 January 1874

An item referred to a letter written by captain Howland on on 16 November 1873 at Talcahuanho, Chile board of the bark John Carver of New Bedford ready for a new voyage and expected back at this harbour begin April [1874]. The catch during her last voyage was 135 barrels of sperm oil.
