American whaler Josephine lying in November at Honolulu according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 26 December 1865

An item referred to the letter written by captain Chapman on board of the Josephine of New Bedford lying on 5 November at Honolulu returning from Ochotsk with a catch of 950 barrels whale oil and 12.000 lbs bone. The intention was to transferred the oil to the Iolani and the bone to the Ceylon, both bound for New Bedford. The Josephine was being prepared for a new season.
