An item dated Den Helder 28th February reported that the Dutch frigate ship Doggersbank captain P.J. Kerkhoven arrived after a voyage of 119 days at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. She was the first ship that loaded in July 1856 water supplied by the recently founded Duinwaterleiding Maatschappij. Her captain wrote back to bookkeeper B.D. Bosscher at Amsterdam that the quality of the water was still good.
