Dutch steamship Willem I temporarily grounded at Pampus according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 1 December 1861

An item dated Den Helder 30th November reported that the Dutch steamship Willem I captain Hazewinkel underway from Hamburg, Germany towards Amsterdam, Netherlands was grounded at Pampus. After temporarily repairing a hole in the bow and pumping out the water arrived she on the 26th with the support of a tug in the Oosterdok at Amsterdam.
