American whaler Crowninshield lying at Norfolk Island, Australia according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 7 January 1873

An item referred to a letter written by captain Praro on 15 October 1872 on board of the bark Crowninshield of Fairhaven lying at Norfolk Island, Australia was destined to arrive in December at Hobart Town, Tasmania and expected back at New Bedford in August 1873. At that moment consisted her catch of 1.400 barrels sperm and 200 barrels whale oil.
