Dutch paddle steamship Zr.Ms.Cycloop towing screw steam frigate Zr.Ms. De Ruyter from Hellevoetsluis towards Vlissingen according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 10 October 1861

An item reported that the Dutch steamship Zr.Ms. Cycloop departed the 6th from Hellevoetsluis towards Vlissingen with on tow the screw steam frigate Zr.Ms. De Ruyter which would be completed at Vlissingen.

1. Paddle steamship 2nd class, Netherlands, on stocks at naval yard at Flushing, Netherlands 23 July 1840, launched 13 June 1843, condemned and stricken 1873, dimensions 47,00 x 9,20 x 4,00 metres, 875 tons displacement, 6 guns., 220 hp horsepower.


2. Laid down as a ship of the line in 1831 at Vlissingen, 1850 started conversion into a frigate, between 1859-1862 rebuilt as a screw steam frigate and then converted into a steam battery.
