Captain Prins appointed to commanding officer of the Dutch marines in the Dutch east Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 19 June 1861

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 18th reported that captain of the marines P. Prins was to travel privately towards the Dutch East Indies where he was to became commanding officer of the marines in stead of captain Kempers returning ill to the Netherlands.
