Screw steamship 4th class Zr.Ms. Vecht arrived at Santa Cruz underway for the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 16 June 1861

An item reported that the Dutch screw steamship Vecht 1st lieutenant H.A. Modderman arrived on 16 May at Santa Cruz, Tenerife bound for Dutch East Indies. Everything was well on board.(1)

1. Screw steamship 4th class, built 1859-1860 by D. Borkus, Gouda, Netherlands, stricken 1865, dimensions 38,00 x 8,16 x 3,20 metres, displacement 586 tons, an armament of 6 guns and a crew numbering 85 men.
