Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (N.H.M.) hired Dutch bark Jacob as troop transport according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 19 September 1863

An item reported that the N.H.M. hired the Dutch ship Jacob captain Muller Drenth to transport soldiers from the coast of Guinea [Dutch Gold Coast=Ghana] Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies.(1)
