Dutch East Indiaman Jonge Willem bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1743

She left on 31 December 1743 Rammekens, province Zealand, Netherlands with as captain Jan Akkerveld, visited Santiago, Cape Verde Islands between 4-16 February 1744, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 4-15 May and arrived at Batavia on 17 August. Her crew numbered 114 (arrival)-112 (departure) sailors and further more 43 (arrival)-63 (departure) soldiers. Laid up in the Dutch East Indies on 3 June 1749. Of the E.I.C.-chamber Zealand, on stocks by Hendrik Raas at E.I.C-yard at Middelburg, Netherlands 6 June 1731, launched on 28 January 1732, dimensions 130 x ? x ?
