Dutch East Indiaman Verwachting bound for the Dutch East Indies in 1743

She left on 29 August 1743 Rammekens, province Zealand, Netherlands with as captain Gerrit van der Tolle, visited Cape of Good Hope, South Africa between 1 January-5 February 1744 and arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 13 May. Her crew numbered 97 (arrival0-124 (departure) sailors and further more 79 (arrival)-133 (departure) soldiers. The same year wrecked while underway from China towards Surat, British Indies. Of the E.I.C.-chamber Zealand, on stocks by Hendrik Raas at E.I.C-yard at Middelburg, Netherlands 3 October 1742, launched on 26 February 1743, dimensions 136 x ? x ?
