The movements of the Dutch East Indiamen Leyden, Maria Cornelia, Vasco da Gama and Schelde according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamse courant dated 18 May 1793
An item referred to letters received from Cape of Good Hope, South Africa dated 26th February reported the arrival of the Dutch East Indiamen Leyden captain Theunis Groen for the chambers Rotterdam and Delft and Maria Cornelia captain Jan Arends for the chamber Enkhuizen, both returning from Batavia, Dutch East Indies. Other tidings reported the arrival of the Vasco de Gama captain Jan van Straalen of the chamber Amsterdam and the Schelde captain Cornelis van Eps of the chamber Zeeland at Ceylon.
