British East India Company fitted out extra ships towards the Indies and China according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 26 July 1785

An item dated London, England 19th and 22nd reported that the British East India company would commission 37 ships and which should depart that same year towards the Indies and China. This number excluded the ships already in service.
