Dutch squadron forced to return to the roads of Vlissingen, Netherlands due to contrary winds according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 4 August 1843

An item dated Vlissingen, Netherlands 2nd reported the departure around 13.00 o’clock from the roads of the Dutch squadron commanded by prince Hendrik towards open sea. Contrary winds however forced the squadron two to return two hours later. A day later she again departed leaving the corvette Zr.Ms. Jason behind in the roads.(1)
