Dutch tug Actief heavily damaged after a collision with a bridge on the Dortmund Eems canal according to the Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 14 July 1914

An item dated Delfzijl, Netherlands 11^th reported that the Dutch tug Actief captain J. Boereman of Groningen, Netherlands in a collision with a bridge on the Dortmund Ems canal was heavily damaged including her funnel which was totally destroyed. She was towed back to Delfzijl for repairs.
