British bark Pomona wrecked underway from England to the Algoa Bay, South Africa according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 17-12-1902

An item dated Madeira, 12th reported that the British bark Pomona captain Patterson underway from London, England towards the Algoa Bay South Africa sunk on the 9th at the position 39 degrees north and 17 degrees west. Her crew was saved and arrived at Madeira.
