Ship Shirley wrecked at the Cardiff Sands according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 17-12-1902

An item dated Cardiff, England 15th reported that the ship Shirley underway towards Penrhyn loaded with coal stranded that morning at the Cardiff Sands in heavy storm, capsized to port board and totally lost. Her crew was saved.
