Dutch tug Noordwijk stranded off Egmond, Netherlands when trying to salvage a coaster according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 12 October 1918

An item dated Ijmuiden, Netherlands 10th reported that the Dutch tug Noordwijk stranded when she tried to refloat a near Egmond, Netherlands stranded coaster. The disaster was caused when the towline disabled her screw. Another Dutch tug Visschershaven was sent for assistance.
