building of warships in the USA.
The director of the company Union Iron Works, San Francisco,
USA who also built the
cruiser Olympia would go to Japan to sign
there the necessary contracts. The German shipyard Vulkan, Stettin, Germany
delivered in the meantime two torpedo boats to the Chinese government while a
destroyer nearly was completed.
