American bark Brighton underway towards New Bedford, USA according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 30 August 1859

the bark American bark Brighton departed Dartmouth
on 5 June 1855 loaded with 600 barrels sperm, 450 barrels whale oil and 4.000 lbs bone to
transport homewards. Ship and outfits had an estimated value of 35.000 US
dollars. She was insured at New Bedford, USA by the Commercial for 8.000, the Union for 4.000 and the Mutual Marines offices for 15.000
US dollars.
