French 3-mast schooner Zambèze loaded with dye wood arrived at Antwerp, Belgium after disastrous voyage according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 23 February 1904
An item reported that the French 3-mast schooner
Zambèze loaded with dye wood underway from Laguno,
Mexico via Falmouth,
England towards Antwerp, Belgium
finally arrived at Antwerp.
Underway on the high seas became part of her crew sick with as result that
during quite a time sufficient manpower was lacking. Her captain was thrown over
board by a high wave and drowned. Furthermore was she so heavily hat the was to
be towed from Falmouth passing Vlissingen,
Netherlands towards Antwerp.
