French privateer l’Esperance captured British brig ship Cornwal according to the Dutch newspaper Goudasche courant dated 29 December 1796

An item reported that the French privateer l’Esperance of Dunkirk took into Le Have, France the captured British brig ship Cornwal which was underway from Hull, England towards Lisbon, Portugal loaded with textiles.
