Dutch warship Zwarte Beer 1652-1653

Of the board Monnikendam/Edam, also called Beer, mentioned 1652-1653, dimensions 133 x 27½ x 13½, height above hold 6½ feet, an armament of 32 (2-18pd, 10-12pd, 12-8pd, 6-4pd, 2-3pd) guns and a crew numbering 100-110 men. Called Beer of the board Edam in December 1653 aged 3 years. In 1653 was a Bear captured by the British with as dimensions 106e x 26½e. it’s possible that there were at least two ships in Dutch service at the same time named Beer. A dated list December mentioned a called Beer of the board Edam, a list dated May 1653 of the board Enkhuizen and a list dated June 1653 of the board Medemblik.
