The discontinuance of the coast artillery companies in the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper De Indische courant dated 22 March 1924
An item reported the
intention to discontinue the coast company artillery stationed at Tjilatjap,
Dutch East Indies on 1 July that same year. Ordered was to start with
transferring officers and soldiers after the gun exercises between 8-11 April.
Two sergeants, 2 corporals and 10-12 men stayed behind to maintain the guns and
other material. At Tandjong Priok, respectively Sabang were already the 2nd
company stationed at Weltevreden respectively the 1st company discontinued. On
1 January 1925 was the depot company of the coastal and military posts
artillery at Batoe Djadar to be discontinued.
