Japan slowing down executing naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1926 no. 2

An item referred to the U.S.N.I. Proceedings no. 276 reporting that the Japanese cabinet decided to decrease the naval budget considerable. The 3 years shipbuilding program with an approved budget of 27 million pound sterling was to be decreased to a budget of 13 million by slowing down the building. The 4-10.000 ton cruisers and 10 large destroyers were now to be completed on a longer term which could effect the naval policy of other major sea powers was the conclusion.
