The French naval sipbuilding program for 1937 according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no. 2

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated January 1937 reported that the French naval shipbuilding program for 1937 consisted of 1-8.000 cruiser, 2-1.850 ton destroyers, 4-1.000 ton destroyers, 7 submarines of which 3 large, 2-2.000 colonial aviso’s, 1 tanker, 10 minesweepers, 18 submarine chasers, 2 torpedo motor boats, 4 aircraft tenders totally numbering 51 ships and vessels with a total displacement of 47.000 ton. The program dealing with the building of 3 or 5 battleships, 10 light cruisers and some aircraft tenders was to be divided over several years but to be completed in 1943.
