USA building new submarine chasers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1917/1918 no. 3

An item referred to the magazine Monitor de la Flotte which reported that since the USA declared the war on Germany the building was ordered of submarine chasers of 3 types. The largest had a length of 33 metres and a minimum speed of 25 miles. The length of the other two types was respectively 25 and 15 metres. Before there was a sufficient number built of the largest type was none of the smaller types to be built. To haste the building were the hulls wood-built.
