An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting the negotiations going between Italy and Greece dealing with the possible sale of the Re Umberto, Sicilia and the Sardegna.(1)

Elsewhere called the Re Umberto-class ironclad battleships preceded by the Ruggiero di Lauria-class and succeeded by the Ammiraglio di Saint Bon-class, with a main armament of 2x2-34,3cm/13,5“ /30 guns. Re Umberto laid down 10 July 1884 and finally stricken on 4 July 1920, Sicilia laid down on 3 November 1884 and finally stricken in 1893 and the Sardegna laid down on 24 October 1885 and finally stricken on 4 January 1923.
