Japanese naval budget further increased according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1936 no. 6

An item referred to the Proceedings dated August 1935 reporting that the Japanese naval budget was increased to a level of 553 million yen. Further more was a supplementary budget of another 134 million asked, making a totally of 686 million. For the reorganisation of the naval shipyards was 21 million needed, for the modernisation of the ships 54 million and 10 million for modernizing the artillery.
