Australian House of Representatives approved naval budget according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 no. 9

An item referred to the Mitteilingen a.d. Gebiete des Seewesens reporting that the House of Representatives in Australia proved a budget of 650.000 pound for the naval defence. Within 3 years were 4 large torpedo boats and 8 destroyers to be built. Of both types was one ship to be bought in England and to be used for the building the others by Australian shipyards.
