Building of the 24 planned Spanish torpedo boats begun according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1910-1911 no.8

An item reported that of the planned building of 24 Spanish torpedo boats with three boats was started. Displacement 183 tons and as dimensions 50,3 x 5 metres. The armament consisted of 3-4,7cm guns and 3-45cm torpedo tubes. The Parsons turbines delivered 3.700 ihp allowing a speed of 26 miles.
