New American battleships to be armed with 35,5cm guns according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1910-1911 no. 10

An item reported that the newly to be built American battleships were to fitted out with 35,5cm and 12,7cm guns. The 35,5cm gun was already tested at Indian Head by firing with Hatfield shells at 27.6cm thick armour plates.
