Polish large missile boats (Project 1241RE) ORP Metabolic (1988) and Rolnik (1989)


ORP Metabolowiec (436) and the ORP Rolnik (437), both the Baltic Fleet, homeport Gdynia, Poland and built at the Volodarskiy SY 341 shipyard, Rybinsk, Russia in respectively 1988 and 1989/ Molnaya or Tarantul I class Gornik large missile boats. Displacement 455 (full load) tons and as dimensions 56,1 x 10,2 x 2,25 metres or 184 x 33,5 x 7,4 feet. The 2-8.000 shp cruise gas turbines and 2-24.000 shp boost gas turbines, totally 32.200 shp supplied via 2 shafts made a speed of 43 knots. Crew numbered 46 men. The armament consisted of 4 P-15M/SS-N-2C Termit/Styx SSM, 1 76.2mm/59cal DP, 1 SA-N-8 SAM position, 2 3cm anti aircraft guns.
