Polish large patrol corvette (Project 620) ORP Kaszub (240) 1987-


Built at the shipyard Stocznia Polnocna, Gdank, Poland in 1987 for the Baltic fleet. Polish designed based on the hull of the Grisha-class which was a failure while the warped hull resulted in major enginery problems. With a displacement of 1.183 (full load) tons and as dimensions 82,34 x 10 x 2,8 metres ot 270.1 x 32.8 x 9.2 feet. The 4 diesel engines supplied via 2 hafts 16.890 bhp resulting in a speed of 26,2 knots. Crew numbered 78 men. The armament consisted of 1-76.2mm/59cal DP, 2 FAM-14/Strela SAM positions, 3x2-2,3 cm anti aircraft machineguns, 2 RBU-6000 ASW RL, 2 x2-53,3 cm21 inch torpedo tubes, 2 depth charge racks and mines.
