Anti torpedo guns on board of French warships needed better protection according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 No. 11

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the necessity of the anti-torpedo guns was not to be discussed but these guns also were to be protected in case of a sea battle to prevent disablement and not usable in case of torpedo boat attacks. The arrangement was to be well thought-out with the possible of cooperation.
