Austrian torpedo gunboat Magnet performed well during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1896-1897 no. 6



An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the Austrian torpedo cruiser Magnet achieved a speed of 26 miles during her trials. Displacement 510 ton and as dimensions 67,50 x 8,20 x 3,30 metres. Two triple expansion steam engines developing 6.000 ihp.(1)

1. Torpedo gunboat, laid down by Schichau-Werke, Elbing, Germany with yard number 576 on 14 September 1895, launched on 21 March 1896, delivered on 5 July 1896, decommissioned in 1918, ceded to Italy in 1920 and broken up.
