German armoured cruiser Friedrich Carl converted into torpedo training ship according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 No. 11

An item reported that the armoured German cruiser Friedrich Carl after her conversion was to be used as a torpedo training ship and for this purpose fitted out with the newest equipment available.

1. Of the Prinz Adalbert-class armoured cruisers with as sister ship the Prinz Adalbert, preceded by the Prinz Heinrich and succeeded by the Roon-class. Laid down at the shipyard of Blohm&Voss, Hamburg with yard number 155 in 1901, launched on 21 June 1902, commissioned on 12 December 1903 and mined and sunk in the Baltic Sea on 17 November 1914.
