Aged American battleship Indiana converted into target according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 5

An item reported that the aged American battleship USS Indiana was to be converted into a target. She was launched in 1893 with a displacement of 11,900 ton, a speed of around 15 miles and an armament of 4-33xm guns and 8-20,3cm guns.(1)

1. Laid down by William Cramp&Sons &Engine Building Company, Philadelphia, USA on 7 May 1901, launched on 28 February 1893 and finally sink as target on 1 November 1920. Afterwards sold on 19 March 1924 to be broken up.
