French destroyer Cimeterre harassed by problems during trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1911-1912 no. 8

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the new French destroyer Cimeterre was stopped with performing the 6 hours full speed trial due to the worse sea conditions. When it was able to continue occurred problems with the main shaft which became too hot forcing to decrease the speed and finally was the trial stopped when salt contaminated the feed water as a result of a leaking condenser.(1)
