An item referred to the Naval and Military Record reporting that the torpedo armament of the latest American destroyers was quite heavier as for earlier designs. The 1909 design had 3 launchers, the 1912 design 3 twins, followed by four twins and the six destroyers of which the building was allowed in March 1915 even 4 triples.
