Lord Fisher misleading German navy with incorrect drawings of battle cruisers according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 5 November 1919

In a letter published in the Times wrote Lord Fisher (1) that the German navy was mislead by deliberately incorrect drawings of warships. Except for the dreadnoughts (Old Testament ships)  were there battle cruisers (New Testament ships) of which incorrect drawings were left behind on his desk at the admiralty. Spies stole those drawings for 950 pond sterling. Fisher claimed that he congratulated the German naval liaison officer the next day saying that he could have had the drawings for free,
