Uruguay arrested captains of German merchant ships lying at Montevideo according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 20 October 1917

An item dated Paris, France 19th reported that the Uruguayan cabinet ordered to arrest the captains of the German ships lying in the harbour of Montevideo, Uruguay while they used the wireless telegraph devices despite these were sealed. The captains were to be prosecuted. At that moment were 8 German ships lying at Montevideo.
