British battleship HMS Thunderer executed her trials according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1912-1913 no. 4

An item referred to the German magazine Schiffbau reporting that the British battleship HMS Thunderer built by the Thames Iron Works already executed her trials. During the 30 hours trial with 70% full power was with 265 rpm 18.927 hp available achieving a speed of 18,8 miles with 17.787 hp. During the 8 hours trial was the coal consumption 178lbs per hour/hp with 299 rpm and 27.416 hp. During the runs on the measured mile was with 300 rpm and 27.426 a medium speed druing 6 runs of 20,8 miles achieved.(1)

1. Her building at the yard of Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Company at the mouth of the Bow Creek on the west side at Canning Town as part of the Orion-class was ordered in 1909, laid down on 13 April 1910, launched on 1 February 1911, commissioned in May a year later and decommissioned in 1921 to became a year later a seagoing training ship for cadets and finally paid off in November 1926 in December 1926 and grounded off Blythe on her last voyage to the scrap yard. Building costs were 1,892,823 pound sterling. After her completion was the yard bankrupt!
