Many casualties due to explosion on board of Greek torpedo boat according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 5 January 1922

dated Athens, Greece 5 January reported a heavy explosion on board of a torpedo
boat lying at Piraeus, Greece causing the death of 10 people and wounding
several more. The Bataviaasch nieuwsblad added that it was Greek torpedo boat,
14 death and 20 wounded. The
Limburger koerier dated 6th reported that a torpedo was exploded,
several houses in the surroundings destroyed and until 50 bodies found within
the houses. De
Surinamer dated 12th called the torpedo boat Leon.
