Swedish navy interested in more knowledge about aircraft according to the Dutch magazine Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 2

An item reported that the Swedish navy proposed to sent a sea officer and a naval engineer for a period of 3 months abroad (especially towards Germany) to study the air forces. The Swedish navy possessed one plane and asked the approval of a budget for purchasing 10 float planes to be divided in 5 groups over 4 stations/ Costs of each plane included spar parts and so on were 35.000 guilders. On short notice were tow planes of unknown type to be ordered.
