Almirante Latorre
An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau No. 24 reported that the six at Quincy, Massachusettes, USA built submarines for British account on 4 July 1917 at the navy yard at Boston, USA were handed over to Chile. The submarines were a partly compensation for the warships purchased by England at the outbreak of the First World War and which were being built by British shipyards for Chilean account.(1)
