American president Coolidge asked for report dealing with the navies in the world according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 26 September 1924

An item dated Berlin, Germany 25th reported that Coolidge (1) appointed a commission consisting of officers to write a report dealing with the strength consisting of combat ready large battleships, submarines and aircraft of all countries. The report was to be used as a start as a terminus a quo for the next naval budget.
